Dana Anjali has been practicing Insight Meditation since 1988 when she met her mentoring teacher, Sharda Rogell on retreat in Bodh Gaya, India. As a way to continue and support her own practice, she founded the Regina Insight Meditation Community in 1993. She completed the Community Dharma Leader training at Spirit Rock Meditation Centre in California in 2003 and led the weekly sitting group and classes for RIMC until 2009. During this time, Dana developed her own teaching approach through her classes called Healing Through Meditation that provide instruction and spiritual guidance with an emphasis on mindfulness as a healing practice. This has now become the focus of her dharma work. Dana continues to support and guide the Regina Insight Meditation Community by working closely with Sharda, RIMC's guiding teacher and Chris Gilboy, RIMC's Dharma Leader, to hold the vision of the community.
